Information About Our Copper Products
What is copper?
Copper is a reddish-orange metal. When exposed to the air, copper will oxidize or tarnish. This is a natural process.
The majority of my copper designs have been antiqued to mimic this natural process to give a warm, rustic, expression.
Care instructions for copper products.
Included with your copper purchase, is a small 1" black tab. The tab will keep your copper product looking new and free from any additional tarnish thereby maintaining it's beautiful antiqued look. It is recommended that you enclose your product with the 1" black tab in the plastic sleeve provided when not wearing. This will prevent oxidation.
Can my antiqued copper product be lightened?
All copper products can be lightened to remove the antiqued look if that is a preference. All you need to do, is take a small quantity of lemon juice and add a pinch of regular table salt. Place your copper product in the solution for about a minute then remove and rinse under cold water. Pat dry!
